A male chiropodist is facing disciplinary action over claims he sexually harassed and threatened to kill female colleagues.
Stuart Darroch, who worked as a chiropodist and foot doctor for South West Glasgow Community Health and Care Partnership, is accused of informing one lady in June 2009 that he would certainly like to blast her in the head with a sniper gun and that he might stab her with a “Jedi sword”.
He surprised a 2nd female coworker on the exact same day by enacting a sniper shooting motion in front of her, and declaring and stating it would take just “one shot to the head and that's it” to kill her. Mr Darroch is also alleged to have made a chain of lewd and unacceptable and improper remarks to his colleagues between January 2007 and June 2009.
On January 26, 2007 he is alleged to have told a female colleague that he was a “wham, bam, thank you maim kind of guy” and that he “knew what women liked”. He then provided to illustrate and show a sexual, lovemaking position to her in one of the clinics rooms and made explicit references to the kind of sexual behavior he engaged in.
Mr Darroch is now facing a fitness to practice hearing before the Health Professions Council. He will appear before the conduct and competence committee in Glasgow next Thursday for a two-day hearing into the allegations and faces being suspended or struck off if he is found guilty of misconduct.
