Las Vegas foot doctor looking for donations
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A Las Vegas Foot Doctor says he's looking to the community to help the homeless get on the right foot.
Dr. Troy Watson from Las Vegas spends his time every year fitting the area's homeless population with comfortable and proper fitting shoes through the Hearts to Soles program.
The Las Vegas foot doctor, though, said the tough economic times have led to a decrease in the number of free shoes readily available to the homeless. Only 100 pairs of new shoes are available.
Dr. Watson is asking the Las Vegas community to donate new and lightly used men's shoes, sizes 8 through 13.
The donations will be given during a foot screening for the homeless slated at the Salvation Army in Las Vegas on Friday.
Donations can be dropped off at three locations: 2800 E. Desert Inn Road, 8402 W. Centennial Parkway and 2930 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway.
